Allison Avent joins Queen City Immigration Law as Of Counsel

Charlotte, NC (July 17, 2017) – Seward Tran LLP d/b/a Queen City Immigration Law is pleased to announce that Allison Avent of Avent Law Firm has joined the firm as of counsel.

Queen City Immigration Law services the full range of immigration issues but focuses on the strategic needs of employers, entrepreneurs, artists, and athletes. Ms. Avent’s addition allows the law firm to expand its family based practice and spanish speaking expertise to the firm.

Ms. Avent is a prominent young professional in North Carolina and known for her passion for immigrants and immigrant’s rights. She has years of experience with new arrivals to this country through several organizations which help form her a deep understanding of the challenges that are faced when learning a new language and culture.

When working with clients, Ms. Avent is patient and tactful as she explains the process that is involved with a particular issue and reasonable expectations for outcome. Her goal is for her clients to know that she is passionate about the work that she does and fights for them every step of the way.

Committed to community service, Ms. Avent taught citizenship classes at International House in Charlotte and the pilot program at the Southeast Asian Coalition. She is also on the Alumni Board of Directors at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and the Young Professionals Board of Directors at the James J. Harris Family Branch YMCA.

Ms. Avent earned her B.A. degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Miami, where she was a member of the Immigration Law Society.
