Attorney Sherrod Seward Attends Sports Immigration Lawyers Conference in Orlando

Our attorney, Sherrod Seward, recently attended the first ever Sports Immigration Lawyers Conference. The conference brings together the country’s premier sports focused immigration attorneys to talk about the best legal strategies and current law trends. This year’s conference was organized by Ksenia Maiorova of the Maiorova Law Group PLLC and was held in Orlando, Florida.

The event was such a success that attorney Seward plans to participate and contribute in the future. “It was a very good feeling to know that I am not working in a silo,” said Mr. Seward. “I am one of the only attorneys in my region that deals with P-1 visas, so it is wonderful to meet other great sports immigration attorneys to share ideas and experiences. Ksenia and her team did an absolutely wonderful job with this conference.”

More than one hundred immigration attorneys from across the United States and from diverse niche practices attended the conference. According to attorney Seward, the highlight of the conference was Amy Maldonado being awarded Sports Immigration Attorney of the year. Attorney Maldonado is one of the premier baseball focused sports immigration lawyers in the country. She is also one the most knowledgeable and helpful people in the industry and provided valuable assistance with an equestrian related case our law firm was handling a few months ago.

The relationships and insights shared at the Sports Immigration Lawyers Conference will help attorney Seward improve the quality of petitions and arguments presented to USCIS for P-1, P-1S, O-1, and permanent residence cases for athletes from across the globe.
